Public User Accounts
Public users will need to create a new account in TrailHUB before subscribing to a trail system.
Public user accounts are free and account holders will have the ability to subscribe to as many trail systems as desired once an account is created.
They can find your trail system by exploring our website or through embedding your trail system to your website, sharing a direct link through email, text, social media, etc.. or scanning a QR Code to their phone from marketing materials such as business cards, brochures, signs, etc.
Once a public user subscribes to your trail, if you make any updates or post important notices regarding your trails/trail system, you will have the ability to notify them through email/text.
TO ACCESS THE PUBLIC TRAILHUB PLATFORM:
1.) Go to the TrailHUB homepage, and click the 'Explore Trail Systems!' button in the middle of the page
2.) A list of all the Active Trail Systems within TrailHUB will appear in the ‘View Trails’ menu
3.) Navigate Active TrailHUB Trail Systems by:
Scrolling through the Trail Systems list
Using the search field
Clicking on an activity
Clicking on the map
4.) Once you select a Trail System it will open in a new window
Public users can sign-up for a TrailHUB Account in two ways:
1.) All new public users can sign-up for a new account directly through the TrailHUB homepage, by clicking the 'Public Users' button in the top navigation bar and filling out the sign-up form.
2.) If a public user is viewing your trail system and they do not have an active public user account, they will be redirected to sign-up for an account if they click 'Subscribe to Trail Updates', on your TrailHUB page, and then they can subscribe to your trail system.
TRAIL MANGERS:
If trail managers want to subscribe to trail systems, they must sign-up for a public account through the TrailHUB homepage or by clicking into ‘User Settings’ if they are logged into your organization’s account as a trail trustee.
Trail managers can be logged into both their trail manager account and public user account at the same time within the ‘User Settings’ menu.
MANAGING PUBLIC USER ACCOUNTS:
1.) Sign into your public user account through the TrailHUB homepage, by clicking ‘Public Users’ in upper right-hand corner
2.) A list of all the ‘Active Trail Systems’ within TrailHUB will appear in the ‘View Trails’ menu
3.) Navigate Active TrailHUB Trail Systems by:
Scrolling through the Trail Systems list
Using the search field
Clicking on an activity
Clicking on the map
4.) To select a Trail System, click on a Trail System name from the list or within the map. A new browser window will open to the selected Trail System.
To SUBSCRIBE to a Trail System:
1.) Select the Trail System name you would like to subscribe to and a new browser window will open to that system.
2.) Close the ‘View Trails’ menu then select the ‘Trail System’ menu in the upper left
3.) Click subscribe to trail updates
4.) The trail system you just subscribed to should now appear within your ‘View Trails’ menu when you click the ‘My Subscriptions’ button
If trail system name does not appear, refresh the page of your web browser or log out and back into your public user account
To UNSUBSCRIBE from a Trail System:
1.) Go to ‘User Settings’ within your Public User Account
2.) Select the ‘minus’ icon to the right of trail system you would like to delete and it will automatically be removed from your list
OR
3.) Click into the trail system you want to unsubscribe to and select ‘Turn off Subscription’
